CitiPark revolutionises the parking process with latest app feature
CitiPark enters phase two of mobile app development, moving one step closer to becoming the most technologically advanced, eco-friendly parking operator in the UK.
Following a month-long trial period, digital season tickets are now available on the CitiPark app, which is free to download on iOS and Android. The new feature allows existing and new customers to carry their season tickets electronically via their smartphone, removing the need for physical, plastic tickets.
Digital season tickets significantly improve the ease and efficiency of the parking process, both from an operational point of view and for the customer. From removing wait times to eliminating the hassle of dealing with lost cards, the new feature streamlines the service and makes parking even easier.
The convenience of the digital season ticket is further enhanced by the iOS iBeacon feature, which, working as a micro-location awareness tool, will bring the users season ticket to the tip of their fingers when approaching the car park, even in lock screen.
In addition to digital season tickets, the multi-functional app allows customers to pay for their parking in an instant by scanning the QR code on their parking ticket, saving time and improving the ease of payment.
The app not only streamlines the payment process but also features an intuitive pre-booking system, allowing users to book their parking in advance at any car park and at any time. Thanks to its friendly, simple interface, customers can adjust their arrival time and length of stay with ease, or if their plans change unexpectedly, cancel their booking up until the parking session begins.
Providing an all-in-one solution for pre-booking, payments and season tickets, the app allows customers to access and control their parking experience from the palm of their hand while speeding up the entire process at their convenience. Since its launch in June 2019, the CitiPark mobile app has proved extremely popular with customers, processing over 50,000 transactions to date across 18 branches.
