Made In Leeds Festival Hits The Tetley
On June 28th, The Tetley will be home to Leeds' first inner-city music and culture festival, Made in Leeds Festival. Featuring a selection of Leeds' heavily influential club brands from the past, present and future, it's sure to be a fantastic day.
Using The Tetley's space in a way that's never been seen before, the Made in Leeds Festival will showcase music from some of the city's most recognisable nightlife brands including Fibre, Back To Basics, Speed Queen and Insomnia, featuring four tents packed full of superb local DJs. Not only that, The City Talking will be hosting their very own live arena where some of the finest new bands and artists in Leeds will be performing.
The Tetley will be transformed into the Made in Leeds Festival site from 12pm until 11pm on the 28th June with unique spaces for musicians, bands and live acoustic sets, as well as pop up stalls from fashion designers, street from local restaurants, art exhibitions, live graffiti and much more.
Last year The Tetley was converted into an impressive arts and culture hub for the city of Leeds, before that it had been out of use following the closure of the on-site brewery. The site has an incredibly important social and industrial significance to Leeds, and it's fantastic to see it being used in a completely new way.
It looks like the Made in Leeds Festival could be the start of something new and exciting for the city. This is only year one and it's sure to grow from here.
