There're Lots of Great Shows to Enjoy This September!
September is just around the corner and Watford Colosseum has another month of great events lined up for us all to enjoy. Check out our top 5 below!
1. Jimmy Carr – Funny Business
Jimmy Carr has become a household name and permanent fixture in living rooms throughout the UK. Having performed on stage to over 1.5 million people, the hilarious 8 Out of 10 Cats presenter has become famous for his original, distinctive and often outrageous comedy.
Jimmy’s brand new show, ‘Funny Business’, will be stopping off for a night of cut-throat laughs at Watford Colosseum on Tuesday 1 September. If you’re easily offended, this show probably isn’t for you. Expect witty and incisive musings on the human condition, as well as his obligatory rude gags.
2. The King is Back
Ben Portsmouth is internationally renowned as one of the best Elvis tribute acts in the world. On Thursday, 10 September, Ben will be bringing his unique style and charisma to Watford Colosseum, showing everyone why he is considered the best in the business.
Ben’s father was a massive Elvis fan, which exposed Ben to The King’s music at a very early age. Later he would hone his musical, singing and songwriting skills and form ‘Taking Care of Elvis’ – Ben’s first tribute act. Audiences were blown away. Ben looked and sang exactly like Elvis. This talent combined with his on-stage persona often left audiences believing they were watching The King himself.
History was made in 2012 when Ben was the first person outside of the USA to win the Elvis Presley Enterprises ‘Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist Contest’ in Memphis, crowning Ben ‘Worldwide Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist. If you’re a fan of Elvis, this performance is definitely not to be missed.
3. ABBA Reunion Tribute Show
The ABBA Reunion Tribute Show is the most authentic and requested ABBA tribute show in the world, giving fans old and new the chance to re-live the amazing ABBA phenomenon.
This authentic, feel good, party style tribute concert will have you singing and dancing all night long. Expect all the hits including ‘Mama Mia’, ‘Dancing Queen’, ‘Take a Chance on Me’ and many more with superb replica costumes, note for note harmonies, amazing musicianship and authentic choreography.

On Tuesday, 15 September, Camilla will be offering a 45 minute dancing workshop followed by a Q&A, in which you can ask her all of the questions you’ve been wanting answers to about her former Strictly celebrities, including Tom Chambers, James Martin and David Dickinson.
5. G4 – The Reunion Tour
Multi-platinum-selling vocal quartet G4 will be gracing the stage at Watford Colosseum on Saturday 19 September.
The 2004 X Factor finalists embark on The Reunion Tour after an overwhelming response to their 10 Year Reunion concert at London’s Barbican Centre last year. Joining them will be Britain’s Got Talent finalist Charlotte Jaconelli and the UK’s largest and most popular contemporary choir, Rock Choir.
Frontman Jonathan Ansell says, “It’s incredibly exciting to be going back on the road with the boys for the first time in a number of years. You can expect the classic G4 treatment: lots of classic songs given the traditional G4 twist, and there’ll definitely be a surprise or two along the way!”.
