The Grand Depart is almost here! IMPORTANT INFORMATION
The Grand Depart for the Tour de France is only a few short days away! The whole team at CitiPark are incredibly excited for its arrival. Here's some important information about the event and access to Leeds city centre.
If you're attending the Tour de France Presentation at the First Direct Arena on July 3rd, please note that Merrion Way will be open, as will our Merrion Centre / First Direct Arena multi-storey car park. There will however be limited access, as the Clay Pit Lane entrance to Merrion Way will be closed.
Access to Merrion Way will still be available from the Lovell Park Road entrance. Please note, that we are expecting delays due to the significant increase in vehicles and pedestrians around the Arena quarter. Therefore, we would advise that you plan ahead and allow extra time for your onward journeys.
CitiPark ensures that customers exit the car park as quickly as possible during busy periods, however our customer service team advise that the roads and highways network can become congested, often resulting in long queues backing up into the car park.
The Grand Depart – July 5th
Roads in Leeds city centre will be closed for the majority of the day until they are safe to open again. Please see the map below:
Parking in Leeds city centre for The Grand Depart
Our Merrion Centre / First Direct Arena multi-storey car park will be open as usual throughout The Grand Depart. Please note that similar to July 3rd's restrictions, entrance to Merrion Way will only be accessible via Lovell Park Road.
If you're looking to avoid the traffic and walk in to the city centre, why not use our Clarence Dock car park.
