The Tetley Adds to Leeds' Growing South Bank Area
The Tetley is part of the growing development of Leeds' South Bank region.
With a busy set of events and activities in Leeds and Manchester this half term we hope you've been able to keep the kids busy.
Leeds has had a particularly busy half term period with a broad range of artistic and cultural activities for children of all ages. One of the featured places in our Leeds half term guide was The Tetley.
Last November, Leeds welcomed the new centre for contemporary art and learning in a landmark heritage building in Leeds city centre. The Tetley is located in the headquarters of the former brewery and is focused around creativity, experimentation and innovation. The Tetley aims to become a place for Yorkshire's artistic talent to develop their skills.
The Tetley will also engage families and individuals of all ages and with it's city centre location in the heart of Leeds, it's accessible to all. Operated and curated by the Leeds charity organisation Project Space Leeds, The Tetley will inspire a new generation of artists and creatives.
Leeds' creative and digital scene is one of the country's leading cultural hubs with an array of arts and musical activities built into the city's cultural calendar. The Tetley is a space for people to engage and participate in the practice and discussion about contemporary art in the setting of an iconic piece of Leeds' heritage.
We're looking forward to getting involved with The Tetley and exploring its creative activities.
