Where to watch World Cup games in Leeds
With only 23 days to go until the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil, the excitement is reaching fever pitch. Football fans are going to be glued to their screens as soon as the tournament starts, watching all of the drama unfold.
If you fancy taking a trip out to watch some of the games, here are a few of the places in Leeds city centre that are showing the World Cup matches.
Big Screens in Millennium Square
Millennium Square will once again be home to a specially created outdoor viewing area for England's final two group games (the 11pm game on Saturday 14th will not be shown, and neither will the quarter final matches taking place on the 4-6th July due to Grand Depart taking place). The outdoor arena will feature a licensed bar, food outlets and toilet facilities, but most importantly, free entry!
Make sure you get there early to save yourself a spot!
Private World Cup Screenings at Gaucho
If you fancy dining in style and watching the football then this will be the one for you. Gaucho are offering the chance to watch the games and enjoy some tasty treats whilst you're at it, including Gaucho burgers, steak ciabiatta and a selection of empanadas. Screenings take place in the private dining rooms and groups and can accommodate groups of between 6 and 50 guests, so all of your mates can join in the fun.
Move quickly though, reservations are on a first come, first served basis.
Shooters Sports Bar
Shooters is undoubtedly Leeds' most famous sports bar so it comes as no surprise that they're embracing the World Cup completely. With an exciting atmosphere, great food, and a decent selection of drinks, it's one of the go-to places for live sports in Leeds. Shooters are showing all of the live World Cup games so if you're wanting to book a table, get in touch and reserve your place.
