July is here and Watford Colosseum has another month of great events lined up for us all to enjoy. Check out our top 5 below!
Three of the funniest up-and-coming comedians are set to hit the stage at Watford Colosseum on Wednesday 8 July. So sit back, relax and laugh away with your complimentary British beef or vegetarian burger, chips and a bottle of ‘Mad Squirrel’ Czech Pilsner.
Stuart Goldsmith has performed his original, striking stand-up comedy all over Britain and Europe, as well as Dubai, Singapore, Australia and New Zealand. Geoff Norcott is a regular at the UK’s top clubs, including The Comedy Store, Jongleurs, The Glee Club, Komedia and a lot more! He’s appeared on TV as both a presenter and actor and his live stand-up show ‘Geoff Norcott Occasionally Sells Out’ was nominated for Best New Show at Dave’s Leicester Comedy Festival. Steve Williams is last on the bill. Currently a writing for Russell Howard’s Good News, Williams’ easy, welcoming comedy style and unique take on the world make for a refreshing, electrifying stand-up routine.
Based on the book by Judith Kerr, The Tiger Came For Tea is a fantastic musical play adapted and directed by David Wood.
The tea-guzzling tiger is back on the road following a smash-hit West End season and will be stopping off at Watford Colosseum on Saturday 11 and Sunday 12 July. This wonderful family show is packed with oodles of magic, sing-a-long songs and cheerful chaos, with a few surprises for good measure, so watch out!
Fantastic Mr Fox, The Gingerbread Man and BFG are just a few of David Wood’s many previous successes. He’s considered to be the country’s leading writer and director for children’s plays and musicals, so if you have little ones this is definitely not to be missed!
3. Westcoast
Celebrating the iconic music of The Beach Boys, Westcoast are set to take the stage by storm with their complete entertainment experience on Saturday 18 July!
Expect all the foot-tapping hits like Good Vibrations, Fun, Fun, Fun, Surfin USA, Sloop John B, Barbara Ann, God Only Knows, Surfin’ Safari, California Girls and loads more!
With The Beach Boys original, unique and pitch perfect harmonies recreated to perfection by these five fantastic singers in a light hearted, entertaining and feel good production, this show is one for everyone!
4. Only One Direction
Only One Direction will be whipping the crowd in to a frenzy on Thursday 23 July when they recreate all of your favourite One Direction songs as a live five-piece.
Embodying the energy, enthusiasm and charisma of the famous five this performance features songs from all four of One Direction’s smash hit albums including What Makes You Beautiful, Story of My Life, Best Song Ever, Midnight Memories, Steal My Girl and plenty more!
5. The Elo Experience
Between 1972 and 1986 Jeff Lyne & The Electric Light Orchestra achieved more combined UK and US Top 40 hits than any other band on the planet! 10538 Overture, Evil Woman, Living Thing, Diary of Horace Wimp, Don’t Bring me Down and of course Mr Blue Sky went on to become the soundtrack of many peoples’ lives.
The ELO Experience, formed over 7 years ago, are the world’s greatest tribute to this amazing band. With a stunning light show and large screen projections to further enhance the experience, come and take a musical journey through the songs and sounds of The Electric Light Orchestra!
