Christmas in London
Our Christmas Park & Guide to London
CitiPark are proud to present our very own Christmas Park & Guide – an interactive map of what’s on this festive season across Leeds, Manchester, Watford and London.
Christmas Shopping
Regent Street, Oxford Street and Covent Garden make central London one of the most exciting Christmas shopping destinations in the UK. Take in the festive window displays of Liberty, wander around the huge department stores of Oxford Circus and explore the delights of Carnaby Street in Soho.
Central London has every store you could ask for, and then some. All the big brand names you know and love are present and correct, and you’ll also find independent shops nestled on the side streets. So make your list and check it twice – you should have no problem gathering gifts and picking up presents.
Seasonal Events & Activities
The Hyde Park Winter Wonderland spectacular is an experience not to be missed. It has everything you could possibly wish for, including a circus show, an ice kingdom, a big wheel and a Bavarian village. Open every day (apart from Christmas Day) right up to 3rd January, it offers a whole host of seasonal festivities, with over a hundred rides and attractions, market stalls, themed bars, cafes, restaurants and street food, not to mention free live music. It’s the perfect place to warm up with a tasty hot chocolate.
The West End is also serving up plenty of festive delights, including Matilda at the Cambridge Theatre, Elf the Musical at the Dominion Theatre and Dear Father Christmas at the Soho Theatre. Nothing could be more festive than watching Jim Broadbent as Scrooge in a new production of the all-time classic A Christmas Carol at the Noel Coward Theatre. And you can always catch Les Miserables at the Queen’s Theatre – it’s the second-longest running musical in the world!
Festive Food & Drink
When it comes to dining out in London, you’ll be spoilt for choice. So we’ve selected a handful of our favourites, just to whet your appetite. Burger and Lobster does exactly what it says on the tin. Located in Soho, this trendy restaurant has no menus and no reservations – simply rock up and enjoy some great tasting, quality food.
Pizza Pilgrims is just off Carnaby Street and offers delicious pizzas to eat in or take away. This pizzeria and friggitoria also offers outside seating, if sitting in the crisp winter weather is your thing. Finally, Polpo is a gorgeous little bar/restaurant in the middle of Soho with mouthwatering Venetian cuisine – well worth stopping by.
