Leeds delegation set for stateside Boston mission
We're delighted to announce that CitiPark MD, Ben Ziff, will be part of a delegation of industry leaders from Leeds heading to Boston this week to strengthen and develop links between the two cities.
The trip, organised by Leeds City Council, includes a range of senior Leeds figures from a range of industries including education, medical technology and health innovation.
During the Leeds-Boston mission, the group will meet with world-leading experts in those fields based in Boston, promoting mutual opportunities for investment in both cities and sharing ideas and insight. The visit also aims to raise the profile of Leeds and establish new partnerships in trade, investment, academia and government relations. It was announced in May that Leeds was chosen for the prestigious Regional Entrepreneurship Acceleration Programme (REAP), a leadership programme run by the world-famous Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).
Ben Ziff said: “We are very much looking forward to working with the team at MIT to expand the potential in the Leeds City Region and to add our own learnings and research to this programme in order to help tackle the challenges that have been identified, especially in the areas of investment in R&D”.
“CitiPark and TCS are very proud of our contribution towards improving the transport infrastructure in the Northern Powerhouse and beyond. Working together with our partners on the Leeds City Region team, we are very much looking forward to this first meeting this week, as we're fully committed to taking Leeds to the next level and helping it to thrive by addressing, supporting and building on the Leeds City Region's innovation and growth plans for the area.”
