Let's Ride Set to Return to Leeds
HSBC UK City Ride is set to return to Leeds on Sunday 2nd September. Here's everything you need to know about the event, road closures and parking options.
British Cycling and HSBC have teamed up for Let's Ride – a series of free bike rides to enjoy and exciting cycle routes to explore. These events take place in cities right across the UK, and this weekend on Sunday 10 September, Let's Ride comes to West Yorkshire for the Leeds instalment of the HSBC UK City Ride.
HSBC and British Cycling invite you to take over the city for a free day of bike riding fun. Music, food and drink, fun and games, demos, giveaways, activities, challenges, face painting – it’s all happening.
It’s free to enter, you get to see your city in a different way and it’s a fun, active, family-friendly day out. You don’t have to go the 5k distance – just as much or as little as you want. And you don’t need to be an experienced cyclist to take part!
Road Closures
As part of a day of traffic-free cycling designed to encourage as many people as possible to get out on their bikes, Leeds City Council will be closing the roads to traffic.
As a result, our Merrion Centre Car Park will be closed from 6am to 6pm on Sunday 2nd September. Roads will re-open as soon as all equipment is taken from the route after the event finishes and it is safe and feasible to do so.
Our other Leeds City Centre car parks will not be affected and are conveniently located for this event. So finding somewhere to park while you enjoy the ride will be no problem!
Please note: If you have pre-booked parking at Merrion Centre & First Direct Arena car park on Sunday 2nd September between 6am and 6pm, please contact enquires@citipark.co.uk
