Get Involved With The Leeds Half Marathon
On May 11th, Leeds Half Marathon is taking place, and it looks like it'll be the biggest and best yet.
The Leeds Half Marathon always proves to be one of the highlights in Leeds' sporting calendar, with the 2012 and 2013 events selling out. Organised by Jane Tomlinson's Run For All company, 2014's event is another sell-out success.
The 13.1 mile run starts on The Headrow, passing The Light and Dortmund Square, winding through the city centre streets, and finishing up on Cookridge Street by the iconic Millennium Square. Leeds Half Marathon is one of the most exciting in the North and is a fantastic challenge for anyone looking to step-up from the 10K runs that take place over the summer.
If running the Leeds Half Marathon isn't your thing, there are some fantastic places to support the runners along the way. As well as the starting point on The Headrow, and the finish line on Cookridge Street, there'll be some great vantage points on route at King George Playing Fields, Abbey Road and Kirkstall Road.
Please note, many of the city centre roads will be closed. These are still to be announced.
